Virtual International Experiences allow students to engage with people, cultures and coursework from around the globe from wherever they are. All that's needed is an internet connection and an open mind. These experiences provide opportunities for students to expand their worldviews and develop highly-sought after cross-cultural skills, no passport or travel required.

Virtual International Experiences are offered by third-party organizations and outside institutions, not directly by Queens. Programs are based in various countries in every region around the world.

Costs, inclusions, and academic credit will vary. Be sure to thoroughly research these before applying.

Students eligible to access their JBIP funds may apply to use them toward a VIE and may receive up to $1,500 in reimbursement for the costs of an approved VIE program fee in lieu of a travel experience.
