Program Description

COINED INTERNATIONAL
The Coined Spanish Language School was founded in 1985 as the academic branch of the Argentine exchange student organization "Comisión de Intercambio Educativo", better known in Spanish as COINED.

COINED is a non-profit organization active in the field of intercultural exchange and international education since 1971.

The Spanish school in Bariloche has lovely and modern premises with beautiful mountain views, located in the downtown city area. The school is next to conveniences such as banks, shops, post office, bus stations, restaurants and cafes, while at the same time, located away from busy traffic noise.

The classrooms are comfortable and spacious and filled with natural light. Classes are warm and friendly. Students get a lot of personal attention from the teachers and have the opportunity to interact with classmates from other countries who are at the same Spanish level. In class activities, students are often paired with someone of another nationality and many long lasting friendships are made.

Spanish language classes from elementary to advanced levels are offered. Your teacher will not only help you learn grammar, but also how to communicate confidently with native speakers and read and write accurately. Covering all aspects of language learning (speaking, listening, writing and reading skills), the Spanish course is specially designed for foreign students and is taught in completely in Spanish. Four 55-minute classes are held every day from Monday through Friday and the student is free to choose the length of his or her course.Average class size is 3 students and there are never more than 5 students in a class. Groups are organized in a way that they will always consist of students possessing the same level of Spanish.
All teachers are Argentine native speakers of Spanish, trained and experienced in teaching Spanish to foreigners. All of them hold a university degree and have a good general knowledge, which is of great importance to the interaction with the students.

The language training follows the contents and progression established in the textbook “Español para Extranjeros”, from the prestigious University of Buenos Aires (U.B.A.). COINED is proud to be the only Argentine Partner Spanish School of UBA. As a result of this co-operation, COINED is authorized to prepare its students with the appropriate material to take exams for the Spanish proficiency certifications: CEB (beginner), CEI (intermediate) and CEA (advanced). The close collaboration with the University of Buenos Aires is a guarantee of the academic excellence of their courses.
