Students can apply for an independently arranged international internship and receive a $3000 stipend. Students can use this stipend to offset costs as they choose, but all additional expenses must be paid by the student. Students must complete their internship program for course credit. The Vandiver Center for Career Development & the PCIE must approve the contract/experience. Students must meet this criteria before they are eligible to receive a stipend. Students taking an INT course must complete the prerequisite course, Career Connections, UNLESS waived out because internships are not required by the major and/or degree requirements. EDU, MTH, and EDU majors must also have completed a minimum of 90 clinical hours to be waived out of the Career Connections prerequisite. Traditional undergraduate students who have already completed their internship credit requirement will still be required to take a course and pay for the course credit(s). For additional independent international internship placement provider options, please consult with the PCIE office.
