Compare and contrast Charlotte with the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica, which has been named one of the healthiest and happiest places to live in the world.

Want to travel to an area that claims to be one of the healthiest and happiest places in the world? This course will be exploring the habits and lifestyles of those in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica to learn what makes a large portion of their population live to be over 100 years in age and claim to be happy all their lives. Throughout the semester, we will be reflecting on our own life practices here in Charlotte so we can compare to the Costa Rican people when we go hoping to make pertinent changes in pursuit of our own health and happiness.

Hopeful itinerary highlights include:
- Beach days on the beautiful Costa Rican coast.
- Cultural highlights of the area such as coffee and chocolate growing.
- Lifestyles of the Costa Ricans in cooking and past times that keep them young and happy.
