Founded in Angers in 1909, ESSCA is a business school ("grande école") that offers management programs for undergraduate and masters degrees. This study abroad program is designed for Business majors in their junior year and taught in English. Historically it was known for its slate mining, however, today its economic reputation is based on four main sectors: electronics, truck manufacturing and automotive products, horticulture and services. Some examples of well-known industrial companies are Cointreau, Scania, Valéo, etc.
